Hi everyone!

I wanted to talk about my experience with breastfeeding. While I was pregnant I was constantly wondering about it. I wondered what it would actually be like, how hard it would be and what people would think if I didn't. One thing I did know is that I wanted to try as hard as I could for a long as I could. I have been breastfeeding for over a year now(crazy). It has honestly been quite an easy journey for me. Which I'm so thankful for because I know a lot of mamas have a hard time. I never struggled with milk supply, clogged ducts or anything like that.
The hardest part was the first few weeks. You don't know what your doing and neither does your baby so figuring that out was hard but satisfying.  I've loved every moment of it, though. To me, it was never a job. I actually enjoyed it. The feeling of knowing that you are nourishing a little human body with your own is incredible and so empowering. I drank SO much water and made sure to eat as healthy as possible. That helped me so much with my supply. Even when I wasn't hungry, I would still snack and make sure I was eating. I think that helped keep my metabolism going.

I still, 13 months in, have an appetite of a 40 year old man. I love the KaiMade milk cookies! They are a oatmeal based cookie that has really helped keep my supply up. My baby nursed every 2 hours on the dot until about 6 months old. Then, every 4 hours and didn't start eating solids til she was 9 months. She was HUGE. And has the rolls to prove it. Now that she's 1, she only nurses at night and for naps which I don't mind at all. I still haven't worked out but I've pretty much lost all the baby weight. Nursing definitely helped. Breastfeeding is very demanding and I could see why some mamas would wanna give up. But, it is the most amazing rewarding experience, ever. I have loved every second. I don't know how long Cruz will want to nurse for but I do know that it isn't going to last forever. I'm going to let her wean when she's ready.

Cruz, 1 day old. Best day ever. 7.7 oz.

4 months old. That belly tho!

7 months old. This is when I started introducing solids. I made all of my own baby foods. She was not interested. Preferred mamas milk haha.

ONE YEAR! She's about 25 lbs now. I love every inch of that cute chub squishy body!

Maternity Photoshoot

Hi everyone-

I decided to share some of my maternity pictures with you. I was 7 months pregnant with a bump that I felt was really hard to photograph. I decided to do a small maternity shoot in Lake Tahoe, California because with the timing of my pregnancy and  my move I wanted to capture a few memories there. I am now living back home in Kauai, Hawaii where I was born and raised. I am thrilled to be having our baby here as well.  I'm currently 34 weeks pregnant with a due date of December 28th, 2016. We are so excited to meet our sweet baby girl.

After traveling to a few different countries for work (and a little play) while pregnant I am more than happy to be on island and resting for the last weeks of my pregnancy. I've worked the last few months- traveling to the West Indies for Ana Cheri's 2017 Calendar shoot. Then, I went back to Nevada where I had conquered my fully booked wedding season. After, I quit my job at MAC cosmetics (which was very hard to do) and traveled to Greece where my boyfriend plays professional basketball.

Now, I'm in Hawaii waiting on my baby girl to arrive. I've gained 45 lbs so far and she is weighing in at 4.6 oz. I've been lathering my body in coconut oil, Clarins body oil, and Bio Oil to try to avoid stretch marks which has worked thus far. I am just now getting to the point where I am uncomfortable   all the time. I also can't seem to relieve any of my lower back pain.

Over the past 8 months I've really got to know what has worked for me during this pregnancy and what hasn't. Including easy everyday makeup, hair, the most flattering/comfortable clothes, shoes & foods. Although, I find myself not wearing any makeup on a day to day basis now that i've been pregnant. My skin has been amazing the last few months so i'm enjoying being as natural as possible. Besides brows, brows always.

The day of my photoshoot I had one of my very talented girlfriends Jenay Duckett glam me. It was perfect and I couldn't have asked for anything better. I felt so good, she nailed it. We did a few different looks as the day went on but ended with this subtle smokey eye.
To create this glam we used:

Armani luminous silk foundation
Becca liquid illuminator in Moonstone
Kevyn Aucoin concealer in SX8
NARS radiant creamy concealer in Custard
Anastasia beverly hills brow wiz in Caramel
Modern Renaissance palette
Viseart 01 neutral matte palette
NARS madly blush
Kevyn Aucoin celestial powder
NYX natural lip liner
Marc Jacobs Sugar Sugar gloss

Recent purchases/MOTD/Baby Sosa

I've been working and working out like a mad woman. Sorry for the lack of posts. I've also been spending my free time buying shit I dont need and taking care of my pup that always seems to have issues. He had to go into emergency surgery because there was something in his stomach. 20 stitches and $1,700 later hes all better, just healing and trying to get back into the swing of things.

Heres some stuff i've bought over the past week or so.
Love the way these fit

I love Gap Fit's workout shirts. They're so comfy and soft. They are also long which I love because I have the longest torso ever. That's where the blue shirt above is from.
Perfect size workout bag.

I needed more lounge stuff. I picked up this grey over sized pull over from Target and this VS pink zip up. I also picked up some VS grey leggings, black tshirt, and a Nike tshirt that aren't pictured.
Sephora gets me every time. Picked up D&G Intense (A-FUCKING-MAZING), Bite lip mask because I want my lips to be extra soft this summer, NARS creamy radiant concealer in Vanilla & a YSL lipstick in #1.

Essentials. 5 pairs of #35 lashes, Makeup wipes, Lingering brow pencil, Teddy eyeliner and a #217 brush.

NYX lipstick in Sugar Wafer.

New Joe's jeans. These were a good buy because I dont have any clean denim. All of my denim is destroyed.
I have these in black & wanted the congac color. So comfy.
These are some of my fav look the past week. I'm usually running out the door but when I have time I try to take as many pics as I can.

Baby sosa for you all....
My baby boy

Sat right on my bag LOL

Mamas boy for sure
